Is my type of behavior normal? Is it just my personality?

Hi. My name's Miriam. I'm fourteen, almost fifteen. And I find my personality and behavior to be a little...odd. I'm shy, quiet and reserved. Almost painfully so. I also don't like to talk and wish I were a mute sometimes. I also daydream about being deaf. I still carry my stuffed rabbit (Which I've had since first grade) around. I like to rub my nose against hers. It's oddly comforting. I daydream excessively and zone out a lot. It has started to affect my school performance and I'm a little worried. I don't have many friends. In all honesty, I don't like people and prefer the company of myself, my books and my movies. Social situations make me nervous too. I'm also very mature for my age. Maybe that has something to do with it? I know it's a lot but I just want to know if this is normal or if there's something wrong with me.
