Help with partial unemployment filing questions in new jersey?

my boyfriend just filed for partial unemployment (he works at a carpet cleaning company and business has slowed to the point where he makes about a fifth his usual pay) and was told to call on the 17th to get the process rolling. when he called, it was completely automated so he had no one to talk to to answer his long list of questions. first of all, they had asked for his weekly gross income, but he gets paid biweekly. should he just give them half of the amount of his total biweekly gross pay? one more question is regarding what he pays in child support. it is already garnished from his paycheck, so would that effect the amount he receives in his unemployment check? should he make some note of child support when he calls in his weekly gross pay? any answers and extra info greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!
