Is there a cure for Avoidant Personality Disorder?

no i have selective mutism though, its not severe,i guess a tad mild i can still do normal stuff ...but when i was young at school i wouldnt oen up to anyone, and i was lonely and depressed..and they only way i was able to get better was to open up and give people a shot...my parents dont know abt my SM ..its just something ive been trying to get over bymyself..but if u truly want to overcome this and change ..then u have to make efforts , and do everything one step at a time and be patient....people arent that bad ..as i got better at socializing..i wonder why was i so shy...and there really is nothing to be afraid of..
