What to wear to a club? Specifically the type of shoes?

I'm going to a club that specifies on Latin and hip hop. I'm wearing a polo shirt and dark jeans, but I'm unsure about shoes. I have black Nike Cortez's which are very clean cut and not that grippy (actually quite slippery), but since it's a Latin atmosphere with Salsa and stuff, do I get more casual, dressy type shoes?
