Can't stop thinking about him!?

i met a guy at camp this week who i can not stop thinking about! we met on the same plane to camp, then hung out a good amount along with one of his other friends. he'd been there before so he knew everyone, where as i didn't at the beginning. i wasn't sure if he was flirting back, because he was being very overly-friendly, but he's a very friendly person to begin with. my friend was convinced he was flirting, but im not convinced. anyway, he's amazingly nice, sweet, smart, funny, athletic, musical and lives right near me! i haven't stopped thinking about him since i got back two days ago! we're both 16, and go to different schools, but schools that interact occasionally. i really really really wanna date him, and im pretty sure he's interested too, im just shy when it comes to dating, but not in an any other area. should i tell him via facebook chat that i like him? it'd be pretty bold and putting myself out there. i know its high school, a rejection isn't the end of my world, but it'd be tough because i really like him. or i could ask his good friend who is a friend of mine also what he thinks of me, or if he's interested in another girl. i know using a middleman is so elementary school, but it would really clear things up for me, and there is a slight chance he likes another girl. although my brutally honest friend told me she thought he was way more flirty with me the other girl, i can't bring myself to believe it. i'd actually really love it he'd make a move, like an facebook message/text/ask to hang out or something! but high school guys are so hard to read! HELP MEEEE!
