Why can't American women take a joke?

Most women from other countries are more easygoing & can take jokes lightly (rather than getting offended) as compared to American women. Even Asians & many Middle Easterners that aren't religious. Maybe it's because of the rise of feminism, anything said to a woman contrary to praising her is deemed offensive. I called an American girl "blue whale" while laughing about it to let her know I was joking, not ridiculing. The look on the girl's face was one to see. I've said this to many Asians & Middle Easterners, & they take it very lightly. There are many such examples.
